The Dangers Of Traveling Abroad

Travel is the motion of individuals between different distant geographic locations. Travel can usually be done by car, bike, foot, plane, train, bus, boat, car or any other mode of transportation, with or without personal luggage, and is one way or another. There are three types of travel, namely, land/sea/air, sea/land and air/water. Travel involves the movement from point A to point B.

Land/sea travel involves travel within the Earth’s surface; such as across oceans, digested at sea, transiting land borders and crossing coastal area. Air travel involves traveling over short distances (from one county to another, for example) or over longer distances (such as between continents). Sea travel is very common among long distance travelers and cruise liners. Air travel is more common for short-distance travelers, such as passengers flying between different states. Some people travel by road, but mostly use air or water to travel around the world.

It is always safe and advisable to protect yourself by getting yourself properly vaccinated. The diseases that can spread easily through insects, such as mosquitoes, are well known in the United States. Recently, a new disease, apparently transmitted by rats and mice was labeled ” Lyme disease,” and this unfortunate event has caused many people to go back to the medicine cabinet, stock up on anti-parasitic drugs and antibiotics and reconsider travel. Travelers have also been reminded to carefully screen themselves for illness, whether in a foreign country or within the United States. It would be wise to get yourself tested if you are traveling to any high risk destinations.
